PLANTATION TEAK 2001

We are now maintaining a stock of 10,000 bd.ft. of Plantation Teak. The quality of the lumber is very good. The majority of it is straight grain. It has that beautiful golden teak color similar to the Asian Teak and yes will still dull your tools. I believe it to be easier to work than Asian Teak because of its’ lessor oil content and slightly softer texture from higher growth rates. The lumber was sawn from forty year old trees ranging in size from 12-30+ inches. The yields are low due to the lack of and, or the sophistication level of plantation management.
